Why Should You Employ Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pump In Your Facility Area?

The pumps that operate by air are known as an Air-Operated Double Diaphragm Pump. Two distinct diaphragms each of which operates independently, have locations on each side of the pump and fill with fluid before being expelled via an exit manifold. Diaphragm pumps, also known as air-operated double diaphragm pumps, are often abbreviated as AODD, AOD, or simply Diaphragm Pump. Diaphragm pumps employ a positive displacement pump.

The air valve, which gets placed inside the central chamber of the air-operated double diaphragm pump, is the primary driving force behind this design. Incoming air gets directed to one side of the diaphragm, generating a vacuum on one side and compressing the diaphragm on either side.

Pump Constituents And The Operation Process

An axial diaphragm pump's primary components are its suction, delivery manifolds, diaphragms, a central air valve, and balls and seats, which function similarly to valves within the pump. We have optimised our pump design to reduce the number of parts contained within each pump to a handful, whereas many old pumps continue to use more than 50 parts, making maintenance more difficult to accomplish.

When an air gap gets created in one of the diaphragms, it causes the balls on the suction side of the diaphragm to rise from their seats and allow fluid to enter the diaphragm while simultaneously causing the balls located near the discharge manifold to seal against their seats. The fluid pushes the balls against the seats near the suction manifold in the compressed diaphragm on the opposite side and the balls on the discharge manifold no longer seal the outlet, resulting in fluid leaking through the discharge manifold in the compressed diaphragm. This loop keeps repeating indefinitely.

Why Should You Employ AODD Pumps?

Many reliable Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pump Manufacturers In India construct robust AODD pumps having numerous advantages and significance. Some of them are listed below -

  • They have the ability of dry running. Meaning that they will not get damaged if left running without any fluid.

  • They are self-priming since they have a positive displacement and can run dry.

  • They can handle a broad range of fluids, from water to oil, waste oil, diesel, acids, foodstuff and slurries. Thanks to their simple design.

  • High viscosities are no problem for them, and they are simple to manage. Pumps, on the other hand, are easy to dismantle.
